Choose Blessing over success and happiness

UV 392/10,000 The blessings of obeying the Lord’s voice Deuteronomy 28 v 2 Deu 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. The world conditions us to pursue success and happiness. But, the Word of God exhorts us to seek the blessings of the Lord. When we place our trust in God and His Word, the Son of God Jesus, we are deemed by faith to fully obey the commandments of God. All the blessings that are promised in verse 1 to 14 of Deuteronomy chapter 28 will be our heritage. We will be blessed in the city and in the country. Our food and our drink will be blessed. Our journeys would be blessed. We will succeed in whatever we put our hand to . Our enemies would be defeated and driven helter-skelter in several directions. Our children and even our possessions would be blessed. We will be the head and not the tail. Whichever side the coin falls, it will be heads up for us. These are the blessings of grace that we do not deserve. We are also protected from the curses of disobedience: the curse upon our children, curse upon our journey, curse upon our food and drink, the dread of our enemies, the curse upon our possessions and our work. These are the blessings of peace or the curses which we deserve that the Lord protects us from as we hide in Christ. Warren Buffet known as the richest man in the world is today afflicted with cancer. Of what avail is his great wealth to him? Instead, if he had chosen to be blessed by the Lord, it would have been an eternal investment that would have good him in good stead both here and now and in the hereafter. All these blessings of grace and peace will first follow us, then it will overtake us and be upon us. The presence of the Lord or the glory of the Lord will shine upon us. It is impossible for any man to fully follow or obey the law of the Lord but since our faith in Christ is equated with complete obedience, we inherit these blessings of total righteousness. We only need to believe, diligently study the Word of God, pray incessantly, exercise our faith and obey the quiet voice of the Holy Spirit prompting us from within. Prateep V Philip
