Calling Success into Our Lives

UV 646/10,000 Calling Success into our Lives “Call unto me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33 v 3 Every bird has its own cry. Every man also calls unto someone or something all the time. By what we think, speak and do, we call certain events and circumstances into our lives. Before I met and came to know Jesus as my Saviour, I used to say frequently, “ What is the maximum that can happen to us- we can die.” Without knowing it, I was actually calling death to myself. We create bondages or affinities by what we say and do. Some leaders call death, defeat or destruction to themselves by what they say and do. It is like calling out to a mad dog and not expecting it to bite. When we are constantly using negative words or thinking negative thoughts, we are calling failure and frustration into our lives. When we are constantly acknowledging the Lord in our lives, confessing our faith, we are calling success or life in all its abundance into our lives. But, the Lord says in the above uni-verse: “If and when you call unto me, I will answer you.” He enjoys it and is not disturbed when we call out to Him. He is endearingly inviting us to call Him. We can call Him in our thoughts, our words and our deeds. The Lord promises to listen to us. He promises to answer our call or our cry or our prayer. We need to persist in calling unto the Lord. We need to call in faith and love. The Lord is near to all who call Him. He is up close and personal. He calls us by our names. He is rich unto those who call Him, implying that He reveals His power and might. When we call to Him in our trouble, He hears us and delivers us. He does not just deliver us but He honours us. In response to our calling, the Lord reveals His greatness and power. His response is beyond our capacity to know and understand. It is beyond our cognitive capacity. It is not predictable. It will evoke a sense of awe and wonder in us and in others. We will realize from the magnitude or the way the answer came that it was not out of the natural or coincidental or accidental but out of His supernatural grace and power. Many people including believers call to the Lord only when they are in trouble or when they cannot solve a particular massive challenge on their own. But, the Lord expects us to make it a habit to call unto Him in good times and bad. When we call on the basis of the Word, we are taking a stand of faith on the promises of God. He answers in amazing ways. Prateep V Philip
