UV 1645/10000 The Frame of the Big Picture
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Hebrews 11 v 3
This uni-verse states that the worlds or the entire universe is framed by the Word of God. It sets the limits and the range of possibilities in the universe. The Word is the frame of reference for our lives. We understand and come to know the things that are of God, that are unseen with the help of the Word. The underlying principles of life, leadership and management are therefore derived from the Word. The Word is not just spiritual but holistic and effective. The physical world and all in it were brought into being by means of the Word.
When we meditate on God’s Word, we derive principles to guide our decisions, actions, reactions and relationships. We should then convert these principles into practices or habits. The Word is also the source of power and wisdom. It gives us the templates with which we can look at the world around and interpret happenings. It is faith in the Word that enables us to obtain the promises of God. When we place our hope and confidence in a specific promise contained in the Word, the Lord will cause that seed of faith to grow and come to fruition or fulfilment.
Since the visible was created out of the invisible by the invisible God, it is impossible to understand the world or its origin or where we are heading with the help of only the physical sciences. We need to step outside the frame of the physical in order to get a grasp of spiritual precepts and principles. When our views and perspectives are shaped by the Word, everything will fall in place. We will begin to grasp the big picture. The power to know God as the Maker of Heaven and earth as the Word declares Him to be is the greatest knowledge. Our significance is derived from our relationship with Him, finite as we are and infinite as He is, visible as we are , invisible as He is, mortal as we are, immortal as He is.
